My granddaughter enjoys American Family Kenpo Karate class along with her 5 other siblings/cousins. She can hardly wait until her days (Tue & Sat) come around. In fact, she wants to be such a big part of the dojo. She comes to her sister’s sparring training sessions when she hasn’t fallen asleep in the car seat. On one occasion she replied, “are we there yet.

Since our son started karate training, his self-esteem has increased significantly. This has carried over to his daily academics, sporting and extra curricular activities.

Thank you so much for the impact your Dojo has had on our son, Drew Adams. Drew began Kenpo Karate at your Dojo when he was 8 years old. He is now eleven. Drew is very athletic and involved in several sports. We have seen that the discipline, confidence, and agility that Drew gained while he was in your Dojo have helped him succeed at a higher level in every sport. We also notice that he enjoys sports better because of the confidence he has gained from Kenpo Karate. Drew is a good student, but the structure and order of your classes have reinforced his academic habits.
Your staff is very caring and genuinely concerned about each student. We have always felt confident leaving Drew in your care. Drew’s schedule does not allow him to attend regularly at this point in his life, but we hope he will be able to participate again in the future. However, we know that the impact from the experience he did have will continue to be a positive influence in his academic and athletic future. Thank you again!

To: Mr. Gary Wilson
This is Dean Zamzam, Nora & Anwar’s father. I’d like to thank you for all your extraordinary efforts in making American Family Kenpo Karate school a fun and exciting place to come to.
My kids are always looking forward to their next class. I have noticed a great deal of positive changes in their personalities and attitude. They truly enjoy being part of the family and always are speaking very highly of you and all the other instructors, especially Mr. Goodwin (Tony). I’ve watched my kids during classes and I can see that you and your staff really carte about each and every one there and teaching for you is coming from the heart. I honestly appreciate the quality. That is hard to find.
I wish you and everyone at the American Family Kenpo the best of luck and a bright future.
God bless & be with you every step of the way.
Thank you.

To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to recommend to you Gary Wilson and the American Family Kenpo Karate. Gary has held a class here at our school for two years. He teaches the kindergarten through 4th grade children. H is very professional and committed to teaching martial arts to the children in a positive way. The children look forward to the class every week and enjoy it very much. The parents are very pleased also. We are proud to offer Gary’s class here at our school. We know that a child that has self-control, self-confidence and self-esteem is a successful child that will be a successful adult. Gary and his Karate class are helping us to install these attributes in the children.
Sincerely,

Dear Gary,
My roommate and I attended your Women’s Self-Defense seminar this past weekend and came away with some much needed information. We both enjoyed learning some very real world applications for protection that and ordinary person can use for self-preservation. We appreciated your kind nature, patience, professionalism and your ability to keep a keen sense of humor.
Again, Thank you and please know we highly recommend this class to all…
Sincerely,

Dear Gary:
I was going to send you a note saying that I was happy for you that you realized a dream – opening your own karate studio. But now I have more to say, so I’m kind of glad I waited a short while.
You probably know that while I have been in favor of Amber taking karate, I have not been too involved in it. We have agreed that karate is Tony’s think to do with Amber, and I have purposely stayed removed from it. However, when I saw her become unhappy in karate last spring after taking lessons for almost two years, I was concerned. I know there were political rumblings going on in the old studio, but the effect on me was that my child was unhappy and was frightened to be taught by one of the instructors. That bothered me because I felt the studio should take special care to see that children were taught by trainers who were respectful of children. When Amber got so unhappy she asked not to go back, we agreed to allow that.
On the first night Amber came to your studio she was very nervous and upset. She was not sure what karate would be like and her last experience had not been very pleasant. I was so pleased when she came home that night! “Mom, I love karate and Gary makes it fun. I can’t wait for Thursday night!” Apparently you make it fun by adding some hand clapping or some other small thing that makes all the difference to a child. Amber even wanted to be sure to go to karate after she had already gone to her school harvest festival.
So, from a grateful mother, thanks for all you are doing. I thin you are definitely on the right track, and I wish you much success in your studio.
Sincerely,
Leslie Goodwin
